It's that time again my Coachella goers.....

The biggest unofficial fashion show of the year is just 6 days away and I can only imagine the planning that has gone into your Coachella ensembles. I know most of you won't admit it but let's be honest, you've been planning these outfits out all year and envisioning those pictures that are going to make you seem like the coolest hippie at the festival.

Well if you haven't gotten your Coachella swag picked out yet I thought I would share a few style tips and some insight as to what I would be rocking this year if I was only so lucky to attend. So from head to toe I will be giving you some style secrets that will make your outfit nothing less than perfection.

My only rules for Coachella fashion:
1. Make sure you have a splash of color with every outfit, unless you are going for the all-white look or all black everything.
2. Most importantly, make sure with every outfit you have a statement piece, it makes your outfit look that much better and makes you a standout amongst the sea of people.
3. Think funky, think prints, think color, and think C O A C H E L L A.

Headpieces

If you haven't noticed already, I am fully obsessed with head pieces. Whether your at a music festival, shopping at Portobello Road markets in London or heading over to Ministry of Sound, head pieces are always acceptable and make you stand out in the crowd.
And I can promise you this- the compliments are endless.

My favorite type of headpieces are feathered & beaded. These are hard to find in stores but easy to make. Think of Where the Wild Things Are, a crown of feathers!
The beautiful Christy Gonzalez at Coachella 2012
If feathers aren't your thing, don't trip. Bejewled headpieces are perfect for Coachella as well and ofcourse the typical flower headpieces. You just can't go wrong.
Floppy Hats, the classy touch.

Eye Wear

Sunglasses are hard because it all depends on the shape of your face and what your personal preferences are. These are a few of the different sunglass styles that you will see constantly on the polo fields.

Ray Ban Wayfarers
Round Sunglasses (The one's featured are Chanel)

The Ensemble!

Whether you decide to keep it simple or dress it up, I reccomend one thing- stay as far away as you can from the high waisted shorts. It is going to be what every one is wearing this year and don't be just another girl in the crowd. Antik Batik is a brand I worked for last summer in London and their brand's style screams COACHELLA. Here is a look at their Coachella inspired Spring/Summer 2013 collection. It should give you an idea what to look for when finding that perfect outfit.
Think Funky.
Think Color.
Think Prints.
Remember, the best outfits are the most simple. Such as, a cute sundress beaming with color, maxi skirts, maxi dresses, dresses with slits, plunging neck lines or open backs. These looks are complimentary on everyone and never go out of style.
Slits.
Also when choosing your dress or skirt think FLOW. Jen's Pirate Booty has the most incredible selection of flowing sun dresses that I recommend you check out.
My All Time Favorite ^
Staple Items:
High Neck Crop Top
Sheer or Mesh.
and this year there will be no shortage of cut-outs.
and most importantly...

ENDLESS amounts of VINTAGE!

and ofcourse maybe a vintage band-tee I mean you are attending a music festival!

Accessorize.

A desert essential... TURQUOISE... and LOTS of it.
and Jade.
I can't get enough of BODY CHAINS.
Dainty & Glamorous, just like RiRi.
If you can't find a body chain, wear a long necklace backwards so it falls down your back.
LAYER EVERYTHING.
Necklaces, Bracelets, and even Rings.
Arm Cuffs
Chained Slave Bracelets
A Coachella must: The perfect Satchel.
The three shoe styles that will never let you down, no matter how HOT the weather is... Sandals, Cowboy boots and a kick ass pair of Frye Boots!
Combat boots are over-played, try something different.
Red HOT Cowboy boots
Flawless Frye's.
Can't get enough of Gladiator Sandals.

Fashion Forward.

For the fashionistas that are risk takers, consider rocking a one piece with bad ass boots and heavy accessories.
I hope this post gave you some tips and insight on what you should be sporting at my favorite music festival and most definitely my favorite unofficial fashion show of the year.

I can not wait to hear about the festival and see everyone's hipster pictures, remember to keep it all natural with the hair and makeup and just have a good time.

Keep it posh people!

Until Next Time.
